I would absolutely recommend The Edit Center for anyone who has even the smallest interest in editing. Their staff is fantastic and the teachers are all industry pros. The six week class doesn't just focus on the technical aspects of editing (although they do that very well!), it teaches you how to problem solve like an editor.

I studied film in college and was comfortable using editing software going into the course, but I found myself learning just as much as students who had no experience at all. The class had just the right balance between lectures/class discussions and independent work/feedback sessions. There was also an awesome student-to-teacher ratio that made it feel like I was getting as much personalized guidance as I needed.
Since taking the class, I've been editing non-stop, and I know that I have this great community of teachers and alums to turn to if I need advice. Best career decision I've made, hands down.
