Associate Producer, Hell on Earth: The Fall of Syria and the Rise of ISIS

The Edit Center led to the work opportunity of a lifetime, working alongside one of my journalism heroes on a feature documentary for National Geographic. The instructors from the Art of Editing were incredibly supportive in helping us shape our scenes and in painting a real picture of working in the industry. I’m now working as a full-time editor and producer with the Los Angeles Times. This past year, I edited a 30-minute documentary I’m incredibly proud of and that we've submitted around to film festivals. I continue to keep in touch with people who were in my class, and I’m much more confident trusting my instincts, understanding footage and telling stories on a timeline. I would definitely recommend this class to anyone with an interest in editing and any filmmaker who wants to take their storytelling to the next level.
