In a story of race and betrayal, a filmmaker returns home after 20 years away and is forced to confront the world he left behind. Two men—one white, one black—grew up together in Detroit, before the city was devastated by crack, the war on crime, and economic collapse. Gone for years—one as an artist in exile, the other in prison—they return to search for the home they lost.
