The class project of the July 2009 class, For Once in My Life, is scheduled for nationwide broadcast on February 1, 2011 at 10PM as part of the PBS series Independent Lens. The film will also be released on DVD in February 2011. For Once in My Life was edited by TEC alum, Amy Foote. The film hopes to “shatter preconceived notions about what people with disabilities are capable of,” and has picked up awards from a number of festivals, including the International Documentary Association (IDA), SXSW, and the Sarasota Film Festival.
