Affonso Gonçalves

Affonso edited Todd Haynes' acclaimed HBO mini series "Mildred Pierce," starring Kate Winslet which won two Primtetime Emmys. He also edited Winter’s Bone which was nominated for four Academy Awards and won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance, 2010.

Affonso’s editing credits include: New York I Love You, with segments from directors Mira Nair, Brett Ratner, and Joshua Marston, among others; Married Life, starring Pierce Brosnan and Patricia Clarkson; Door in the Floor, a John Irving adaptation starring Kim Basinger and Jeff Bridges; and Forty Shades of Blue (Grand Jury Prize, Sundance 2005). He also edited the films The Mudge BoyThe Adventures of Sebastian ColeTransThe Delta, and the short film “Fuzzy Logic,” all of which played in competition at Sundance. His other credits include Tully, which was nominated for multiple Independent Spirit Awards, and additional editing on Robert Altman’s The Company.
