Mother's Little Helpers is a family drama about four adult siblings who reluctantly return home to say goodbye to their compulsively lying mother in the twilight of her terminal illness. It's based on the premise that no matter who dies, we always find a way to make it all about us.

Kestrin Pantera
Director
Kestrin Pantera wrote and directed the feature film "Mother's Little Helpers," which was was selected to World Premiere at SXSW 2019. Her first feature was "Let's Ruin It With Babies," which the LA Times hailed as "honest, convincing, and just plain adorable."
Fluent in English and Mandarin, she has performed voice-overs for 100+ companies in the US and Southeast Asia. In LA, she developed characters for Nickelodeon's Emmy nominated animated series, "Ni Hao, Kai Lan."
A classically trained cellist, Kestrin was shanghaied into rock and roll when one of her stoner-dude-guitar friends realized she played cello. She was then invited to join the bands of more dudes; a lifestyle ensued.
She has performed with Los Angeles indie bands you probably haven't heard of-- like "His Orchestra", with Douglas Smith (Big Love), Raviv Ullman, Winthrop Ellsworth & Paul Cartwright and with some bands you probably have heard of, like "Weezer" and "Beck".
