Playwright Sidney Falk and his fiancee, actress Lucinda Greene, are expecting a baby. Over four days in Manhattan, including opening night of Sidney's latest play - written for Lucinda as her break-out role - Sidney wrestles with his attraction to a house-guest named Genevieve. This is no casual affair: inside Genevieve, the hired gestational carrier, is Sidney and Lucinda's baby.
