Frozen River, the project of the May/June 2007 6-week class, has been nominated for six Independent Spirit Awards. The categories include: Best Feature; Best Director, Courtney Hunt; Best Female Lead, Melissa Leo; Best Supporting Female, Misty Upham; Best Supporting Male, Charlie McDermott; and Best First Screenplay, Courtney Hunt.
