FCP 300: Final Cut Pro 7 Advanced Editing
Course Description
This three-day, hands-on course teaches students hard-to-find advanced editing and finishing techniques. Learn how to create polished transitions, fix screen direction errors, edit multi-camera projects, work with nested sequences, create fantastic effects use filters creatively and composite like a pro. This course also covers advanced workflows for managing media and working with film.
Who Should Attend?
This class is designed
for proficient Final Cut Pro editors who want to develop a fuller
set of professional editing and finishing skills.
All students receive the Apple course book Final Cut Pro 7: Advanced Editing by Michael Wohl. There is a maximum of eight students in each class,
and each student works at his or her own editing system.

Course Cost

Prerequisites
Students must have
completed one of the following prerequisites: FCP 101, FCP 200,
The Six-week Art of Editing Course, or have been working with
Final Cut Pro for over one year. They must also be Level 1 End
User certified in Final Cut Pro.
Certification
FCP 300 students who wish to be recognized by Apple as an Apple-Certified
Pro have the option to take the Final Cut Pro 7 Level 2 End User
Exam, free of charge, on the last day of class, from 5pm
to 7pm. Students who are interested in Certification but do not
wish to take the Exam on Sunday may register to take the exam
during any one regularly scheduled Certification testing
date and pay the associated course fee.
As an Apple-Certified
Pro, you will have the ability to differentiate yourself to employers
and colleagues as a highly skilled user of Final Cut Pro. You
will receive a certificate from Apple distinguishing you as an
Apple-Certified Pro, and you will have the right to use the Apple
Certified Pro logo.
Schedule
FCP 300 is taught Friday,
Saturday and Sunday OR Saturday, Sunday and Monday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Discounts
Students who have completed FCP 200 are eligible to receive 10% off the FCP 300 course fee if taken within a year of initial class. Students who have completed
FCP 300: Final Cut Pro 7 Advanced Editing are eligible
to receive a 10% discount off the Six-week Art of Editing Course.
