FCP 100: An Overview of Final Cut Pro 7

Course Description

This two-day, hands-on course introduces students to the primary feature set and basic interface of Final Cut Pro. Topics include navigating the interface, basic editing techniques, adjusting and customizing settings, capturing video and audio, trimming, audio editing, finishing and final output.

This course is based on the FCP 101 course, but it does not cover all lessons and exercises in the book (Final Cut Pro 7: Professional Video Editing by Diana Weynand). Students may complete the exercises that are not covered in class on their own. Students interested in certification may prefer to attend one of the following classes: FCP 101 or FCP 200.

 

Who Should Attend?

This class is designed for anyone looking to edit professional-quality video using Final Cut Pro. The course is designed for those who prefer interactive, hands-on training to best explore the full functionality of of the software.

All students receive the Apple Pro Training course book and there is a maximum of eight students in class with each student working at his or her own editing system.

  • Basic knowledge of the Macintosh OS X
